The artwork was drawn by Auckland-born artist Paul Walsh was drawing a telephone utility box around his home since 2013, with characters inspired by Internet memes, and so far has painted seventeen. Earlier this year, Walsh has been painted on the wall in a cat Grumpy utyeanosat rapid domestic dog and get famous, thanks to social media. Then someone from the chorus, the company's mobile network in New Zealand, get in touch with him and asked if he wanted to draw a box on their utility instead. Paul Walsh agreed.
